Compton, Calif. - Freshman Ryan Atencio went 2-for 3 with a walk, but the Tartars lost to Mt. San Antonio, 15-2, on Tuesday afternoon.
Atencio capped off his day with a nine-pitch, two-out walk in the final inning before stealing second. Sophomore Alexandro Rodriguez and freshman Nick Redick both earned two-hits each with Rodriguez counting a RBI-triple and Redick earning a double.
Freshman Andy Rosales (4-4) was charged with the loss, throwing 5.0 innings.
The baseball team (9-24, 1-14) faces Mt. San Antonio (24-9, 12-3) again on the road on Thursday, Apr. 12 for a 2:30 p.m. matchup.
