Venezia Uribe A 2-Time, All-South Coast Conference Softball Player
Compton College sophomore shortstop Venezia Uribe was awarded All-South Coast Conference Softball Second Team, recognized all-conference for the second time in her career. She made it as a freshman in 2024.
Uribe was the squad's top hitter in SCC play, batting .391 in 20 conference contests. She batted .357 overall, supplied stellar defense turning 13 double plays and leading the Coyotes in assists with 75.
Making All-SCC honorable menntion was sophomores infielder/outfielder Destiny Munguia, who was the team's leading overall hitter with a .363 average in 35 games and led the team in triples (three), walks (21), on-base percentage (.482), and added a home run with 14 RBI.
Other All-SCC honorable mentions went to sophomore picher Johanna Vidales, who hurled 137.1 innings while recording five wins and 60 strikeouts, and freshman outfielder Avigail Navarro, who batted .352 with 10 RBI.
The Coyotes are directed by head coach Victoria Castillo.
