Four Make All-South Coast Conference In Compton Women's Soccer
Compton College placed four players on the 2025 All-South Coast Conference Women's Soccer Team.
The Coyotes had two make the South Division First Team in freshman defenders Dolores Rodriguez and Maralyn Marquez. Compton was 4-1-4 in games that the team allowed one or no goals, including five shutouts. Rodriguez (who scored two goals this season) and Marquez were big reasons why the Coyotes were able to defend in front of goalie Chloe Cordero.
Selected to the All-SCC South Second Team were frosh midfielder Elisa Aquino and first-year forward Sandy Gonzalez.
In Compton's final game on Nov. 7, a 0-0 tie v. host LA Harbor (the Seahawks advanced to the next round on penalty kicks, 5-3) during the South Coast Conference Tournament, the team once again played hard defense to keep the game scoreless over the regulation 90 minutes.
